Question:

The base of the VAIO computer is warm while it is in use or the battery is charging. 

Answer:

The base of the notebook will be warm when the computer is in use or the battery is charging. This is normal and does not indicate a malfunction or safety hazard. The actual temperature of the CPU and battery will vary depending on the peripherals and software being used and the length of time that the unit has been used.

The computer is designed to turn off when the operating temperature is too high. This is normal operation. If this issue occurs on a regular basis even though the computer is used in the recommended cool, well-ventilated environment, service may be required.

Guidelines to prevent inadvertent overheating:
The computer has a cooling fan and heat sink that helps it maintain a safe operating temperature. Certain environmental factors, such as inadequate ventilation or an extremely high ambient temperature, can cause the operating temperature of the notebook to increase. Follow these guidelines to ensure the notebook is being used in the recommended environment:


Regularly wipe the exterior of the notebook case with a clean, soft cloth to prevent a build-up of dust that could interfere with air circulation of the cooling system.

• Provide adequate air circulation to prevent internal heat buildup.
• Leave a space of at least 8 inches behind the back panel of the notebook.
•  Do not place the computer on porous surfaces such as rugs or blankets, or near materials such as curtains or draperies that may block the ventilation slots.
• Do not cover the computer or adapter with clothing or blankets when the computer is turned on as covering these components may cause an additional heat build-up, resulting in damage to the computer.
• Do not use the computer on the lap for an extended period of time; extended contact with the computer or adapter may cause discomfort.

Cleaning external vents:
Some computrs have external vents on the back of the case. These vents allow for extra cooling by circulating air through the interior of the computer case. Excess dirt can block these vents, which could cause the computer to overheat.

Use any of the following methods to remove excess dust from the vents of the notebook:

1. Clean the vents with a clean, soft cloth or cotton swab.
2. Vacuum the vents with a handheld vac or dusting attachment on a household vacuum cleaner.
3. Blow the dust out of the vents using compressed air (available at most computer and electronics stores). Be careful to angle the air flow away from the computer to ensure you do not blow the dirt further into the computer case.

History Background

Kisah Tiga Negara (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) adalah sebuah roman berlatar-belakang sejarah dari zaman Dinasti Han dan Tiga Negara. Di Indonesia, kisah ini dikenal dengan nama Samkok.
Roman ini ditulis oleh Luo Guanzhong, seorang sastrawan dinasti Ming dengan mengambil referensi dari literatur sejarah resmi mengenai Zaman Tiga Negara di Tiongkok dimulai dari penghujung Dinasti Han, pecahnya Tiongkok ke dalam Tiga Negara dan akhirnya dipersatukan kembali oleh Dinasti Jin. Selain dari sejarah resmi, Luo juga mengambil referensi dari cerita rakyat (urban legend) turun temurun yang dituturkan secara lisan di masyarakat pada masa hidupnya. 


Kisah Tiga Negara adalah salah satu karya sastra klasik yang paling populer di dalam sejarah Tiongkok. Luo menuliskan roman yang mempunyai alur cerita bersambung dengan referensi Catatan Sejarah Tiga Negara oleh Chen Shou (seorang sejarahwan yang hidup di Zaman Tiga Negara dan Dinasti Jin)dan sedikit imajinasinya sendiri. Ada sekitar lebih 400 tokoh sejarah yang diceritakan di dalam Kisah Tiga Negara yang dilukiskan dengan karakter berbeda. Terdapat 3 tokoh sentral dalam cerita ini yaitu Cao Cao, Liu Bei dan Sun Quan yang sebagai karakter pemimpin namun berbeda dalam sifat dan pemikiran. Juga terdapat para penasehat yang mempunyai peran penting didalam roman ini dengan pandangan, watak dan sifat yang berbeda beda yaitu Zhuge Liang, Xun You, Guo Jia dan Zhou Yu. 


Cerita di mulai pada tahun-tahun terakhir kekuasaan Dinasti Han di China, ketika kasim-kasim istana banyak memperdaya kaisar untuk memecat perwira-perwira yang melawan mereka. Akibat perbuatan itu, korupsi yang mengakibatkan kemerosotan besar di seluruh sektor merajalela. Pada masa kekuasaan Kaisar Ling, muncul Pemberontakan Sorban Kuning yang dipimpin oleh Zhang Jiao. Di bab awal ini, banyak tokoh-tokoh penting diperkenalkan, termasuk di antaranya Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Cao Cao, dan Sun Jian. 

Pemberontakan itu akhirnya bisa dihancurkan oleh tentara kekaisaran di bawah komando He Jin, mertua kaisar Ling. Tetapi para kasim kasim yang korup merasa takut dengan keberadaan dan kemungkinan semakin membesarnya kekuatan serta kekuasaan He Jin. Akhirnya para kasim kasim tersebut menjebaknya dengan dalih bahwa He Jin harus datang ke istana sendirian sehingga dapat dibunuh.


Pengawal-pengawal yang menunggu di luar istana, dipimpin oleh Yuan Shao, merespon pembunuhan ini dengan masuk ke dalam dan membunuh semua kasim yang ada sebagai balas dendam. Tetapi yang ada, akhirnya terjadi pembantaian yang sembarangan didalam istana. Dalam situasi mencekam dan penuh kepanikan, Kaisar Shao dan Pangeran Chenliu menghilang dari istana.
